ZIM line shuts down direct service ex Far East to Ukraine – 01.03.2019
Since spring 2019 ZIM line will no longer have direct service to Ukraine from Far East. Line is NOT entering any alliance – still remains independ but the same time will share service with 2M with entering Black Sea ports via line personal feeder service from Istanbul.
Due to subject implementation we expect following changes:
* increasing of transit time for inbond/outbond voyages;
* issues with accepting IMO cargoes may occur (before ZIM line was one of best options for such cargoes);
* line assure no space acceptance issues/rates increases are expected;
* direct feeder to Istanbul will make options for prompt/cheaper options to Med/Trans Atlantic directions;
Feeder service via Istanbul with 2800 TEU’s vessels bss following schedule:
Spica Line (ZMS) Pusan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore – Port Said East – Yarimca – Istanbul – Asyaport – Piraeus – Singapore – Shekou – Pusan
