Increase in railway tariffs

Starting October 13, 2019 Ukraine railway plans to apply another one morefor following types of wagons:

* container platforms +32.9%;
* regular railway platforms +9.6%;
* open wagons +1.6%;

As fact for container deliveries above stated step will mean increase of inland cost for about USD 25-75/20′, USD 50-150/40′ depending on destination delivery within country.

Ukraine Railway declares such steps to be arranged to avoid losts and to proceed with update of wagons/locomotives – the same time situation with railway continue to be stabely difficult for sure it became even worth then last year same period. Number of junction stations are overloaded and can not cope with arriving trains – as fact part of junction stations (at Southern part of Ukraine) been temporary closed for accepting trains which leaded to serious delays in delivery – up to 14 days waiting at junction station for moving ahead.

We highly recommend our customers while placing FOB bookings for export or CIF bookings for import deliveries try their best to agree with agents max possible free time for containers use out of port (optimal for import to be not lower 21-24 days and for export 24-28 days)
